Gospel Malaysia Stay Put the word "Allah"
Council of Churches Malaysia (CCM) keep using the word "Allah" in Malaysia gospel. The decision was the result of regional retreat in Ipoh which began Tuesday, January 8th until Thursday, January 10, 2013.
In a statement, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, the Secretary General of the Council of Churches Malaysia Hermen Shastri said the word "Allah" has been used by Malaysian Christians for centuries in Malaysia gospel. "In addition, many Malaysian Indigenous people use this word as their everyday language," says Shastri
Look at existing practices in the past, he went on the Church Council decided to stick with it. "We hope all parties to respect the basic rights," said Shastri.
Church Council declared the word "God" into the Federal Constitution guarantees to every citizen of the country of Malaysia. Verse contained in article 11 on freedom of religion.
